Oakville Inn

Oakville Inn

There’s no need to wonder what to do with the kids during the rest of the Christmas break. There are lots of events you can enjoy with them in the Halton and Oakville areas or classes you can sign them up for. Here are a few activities you can enjoy with them.

Go Skating

RBC is hosting Skate in the Square until February 28, 2016. There’s a synthetic ice rink in Towne Square in Downtown Oakville where you and the kids can skate, no matter what the weather is like and it’s free! The rink is open daily from 8am to 10pm. Helmets are recommended and kids must be supervised by a guardian at all times.

Join a New Year’s Eve Coyote Howl

At Bronte Creek Provincial Park at 1219 Burloak Drive in Oakville, park staff will teach you about coyotes and how to howl like one. Then join in a coyote howl and see if the coyotes answer.

You can also rent skates and enjoy skating on the outdoor Olympic-sized ice rink at Bronte Creek, where you can skate to music then warm up by a campfire.

Ring in the New Year with the kids a little early with a countdown at 8:30. All events are included in park admission.
